  • Lived in Texas in the 70s, then in Albuquerque for 11 years
  • Moved to Colorado in 1985, first to eastern Colorado Springs, then to Black Forest in 1996, and now to Pueblo West. Is very familiar with all of those neighborhoods.
  • Married since 1968.
  • Has 4 adult children, two live in Colorado and two live in Southern California. Also has a daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren.

Work

  • Worked "full-time" for over 30 years as a pastor's wife.
  • Worked 11 years at International Bible Society, first in Customer Service and then 10 years in marketing.
  • Managed catalog design and development, where attention to detail and setting and meeting deadlines were critical.

Interests

  • Served on Pine Creek High School's Accountability Team in the first two start-up years of the school.
  • Has an avid interest in architecture and design, both exterior and interior. Attended Pikes Peak Community College architectural and interior design classes in 2001.
  • Walked the halls of Frank Lloyd Wright's favorite home (Taliesin) in Spring Green, Wisconsin, climbed the spiraled galleries at the Guggenheim Museum which he designed in New York City, and visited the Greek Orthodox Church that he designed in Milwaukee.
  • Toured the US to 24 states and Washington, D.C., in 2000 and 2001 by car and RV, finding fascinating forms of architecture everywhere.
  • Enjoyed viewing the design of everything from the ruins of ancient Rome, to many castles and cathedrals of Europe, to pre-civil war plantation mansions in Mississippi, to beautiful barns in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.
  • Pays attention to detail, whether in a building or in a transaction.
  • Dianne's marketing skills are used throughout her transactions. Devoted and dedicated to meeting your real estate needs. Dianne will be looking for those special details that make your home unique . . . unique to list, unique to sell or unique to buy.

Wayne Vogt

Background

  • Grew up raising cattle on the family farm in Nebraska. Still has a love for animals and farm and ranch life.
  • Decided to become a pastor already while in elementary school.
  • Put himself through college and seminary by doing such things as operating a bulldozer, driving 30-ton gravel trucks, welding, and working as a mechanic.

Work

  • Served 30 years as a pastor in steadily growing congregations in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.
  • Planted and developed a new congregation in Colorado Springs.
  • Has an intimate knowledge of the homes of the entire Pikes Peak region as a result of calling on literally thousands of people in their homes during his 15 years of ministry in this region.
  • Retired from ministry in 2000 to spend more time with Dianne, his wife since 1968, and with his 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
  • Wayne and Dianne looked 6 years for a "dream lot" on which to build their home in Pueblo West. Through this they became very familiar with the Pueblo West real estate market. They began living in Pueblo West early in 2005.

Interests

  • Wayne and Dianne designed their new home in Pueblo West and served as general contractors during its construction. Wayne also did much of the "hands on" construction himself, such as framing the entire downstairs. This experience has helped him immensely in his "2nd career" as a REALTOR.
  • Loves walleye, trout, and salmon fishing, boating, mechanics, woodworking, camping, and other outdoor activities.
  • Has traveled nearly all of the United States and parts of Europe.
  • Quality work, diligence, ethics, honesty, and fairness have always been very important to Wayne. He would rather “lose a deal” than treat someone unfairly. He also wants those characteristics in the company with which he works. That is why he chose to work with Ken and Doug Barber and The Rawhide Company.

Even though we now live in Pueblo West, we still continue to do real estate work in the Colorado Springs area and expect to always do so. We did not leave or quit working in our "old" market. Instead, we expanded our horizons to include a larger region. That can benefit you because we are now intimately familiar with such a large area. We have membership in the Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Canon City MLS systems.
